COLUMBIA, S.C. – Lift Technologies, Inc. (Lift-Tek), a material handling manufacturer, today announced it is expanding its operations in Oconee County. As a subsidiary of Cascade Corporation, the company’s multimillion-dollar investment will create 41 new jobs.
Founded in 1999, Lift-Tek designs and manufactures masts, carriages, integral sideshifters and fork positioners for the material handling market. The company’s products are used in industrial trucks, automated guided vehicles, telehandlers, forklifts and more.
Palmetto Plastics Innovations establishing operations in Jasper County
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Palmetto Plastics Innovations (Palmetto Plastics), a plastic extrusion manufacturer, today announced it is establishing operations in Jasper County. The company’s state-of-the-art thermoforming facility will create 28 new jobs.
Palmetto Plastics manufactures fill and drift eliminators for the cooling tower industry. The company’s products are vital plastic components for systems used in power plants, manufacturing facilities, universities and hospitals.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Komar Industries (Komar), a manufacturer of balers and compactors, today announced it is establishing its first South Carolina operation in York County. The $11.5 million investment will create 160 new jobs.
Komar specializes in the design and manufacture of balers, stationary compactors and self-contained compactors. The company is also a leading innovator of technology for the recycling and waste management industries.
