COLUMBIA, S.C. – NorthMark Strategies (NorthMark), a multi-strategy investment firm, today announced it selects Spartanburg County to establish the company’s first South Carolina operation. The $2.8 billion investment will create at least 27 new jobs and is expected to utilize regional businesses and suppliers for regular maintenance and operations support. 

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Heidelberg Materials North America (Heidelberg Materials), a leading supplier of building materials, today announced it is growing its South Carolina footprint with a new aggregates distribution terminal in Colleton County. The company’s $7.3 million investment will create eight new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – TL+CO Business Solutions (TL+CO), a business solutions provider, today announced it selects Beaufort County to establish the company’s first South Carolina operation. The $7.5 million investment will create 35 new jobs. 

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Palmetto Plastics Innovations (Palmetto Plastics), a plastic extrusion manufacturer, today announced it is establishing operations in Jasper County. The company’s state-of-the-art thermoforming facility will create 28 new jobs.

Palmetto Plastics manufactures fill and drift eliminators for the cooling tower industry. The company’s products are vital plastic components for systems used in power plants, manufacturing facilities, universities and hospitals.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Blackhorse Steel Works (Blackhorse), an advanced steel solutions provider, today announced it is establishing operations in Bamberg County. The company’s $5.2 million investment will create 40 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Komar Industries (Komar), a manufacturer of balers and compactors, today announced it is establishing its first South Carolina operation in York County. The $11.5 million investment will create 160 new jobs.

Komar specializes in the design and manufacture of balers, stationary compactors and self-contained compactors. The company is also a leading innovator of technology for the recycling and waste management industries.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Universal Industrial Gases, LLC (UIG), a wholly owned subsidiary of Nucor Corporation (Nucor), today announced it is growing its South Carolina footprint with a new operation in Darlington County. The company is investing nearly $100 million in the new facility.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – ALLTAPE Adhesive Manufacturing Inc. (ALLTAPE), a manufacturer of adhesive products, today announced it selects Lexington County to establish the company’s first South Carolina operation. The $70 million investment will create 130 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – TS Conductor, a manufacturer of next-generation advanced conductors, today announced it selects Jasper County to establish the company’s first South Carolina operation and second U.S. manufacturing facility. The company’s $134 million investment will create 462 new jobs.

Isuzu North America Corporation (Isuzu), a supplier of commercial vehicles, today announced it has selected Greenville County to establish the company’s new production base in the United States. The company’s $280 million investment will create more than 700 new jobs.
